Reviews
"The 19" had a unique wide-flange profile with exaggerated hammering. It was nice and trashy sounding with a quick decay when played upside down." - J.R. Frondelli
"I had trouble finding a China in their lineup that had the sound I wanted - dark and trashy without any "pang" sound to it, one that opens up easily, and with a fairly short sustain. I found all of that in the Paragon 19", which is now the one and only Sabian in my kit. It is probably medium-thin in terms of weight. Hit hard, it has a powerful sound with a quick decay, and at lower volumes, it still delivers a trashy wash with a relatively longer sustain. A versatile China that can be used for just about any genre of music." - Eric Thornton
"The 19" paragon has convinced me that a china need not be relegated as a limited "effect". The dynamic range and versatility of this cymbal rivals that of a good ride, and in fact it sounds great playing ostenatos. I was surprised to hear it produce a dark, complex, jazzy sizzle with a full frequency response at pianissimo. At fortissimo, the response is instant with plenty of sustain, finally fading out in a smooth, even taper. The stick response is initially soft and buttery, increasing in resilience as you apply greater force. This cymbal sounds like a china should sound- full, rich, complex, dynamic, and edgy." - Rob
