The Xist Dry Dark is a versatile, modular cymbal lineup that bridges the gap between acoustic and electric, organic and electronic. It exhibits a pointed attack, dark overtones, and quick decay, while maintaining a soft and wobbly feel. These cymbals have a wide dynamic range and produce dark tones that won't overpower other instruments. When combined, they create unique percussive sounds with a modern and synthetic edge. They are perfect for a variety of musical styles, including traditional jazz, synth-based music, and modern progressive jazz.

- Boasts a dark and trashy attack.
- Features washy, yet with a quick decay.
- When not used as a hi-hat pair, the top cymbal produces a powerful, full-bodied crash while the lower can function as a delicate ride or bell component.

Reviews
"It sounds very special, however: the attack seems to be integrated into the overall sound almost in the background, although you can already hear the attacks. This is due to the quickly rising, short and deep hissing noise. The dominant feature of the overall sound is the deep, rich and at the same time dry-short sustain. The 17" hi-hat doesn't look too washy overall, it's just too dry and not really trashy either. It delivers an extremely interesting, very own sound character." - Ralf Mikolajczak
"The 17" hats naturally behave more sluggishly and produce very soft, deep sounds. The wavy cymbal edges take also more important role in here, because this is a factor for a lack of presence and clarity, especially in the pedaled mode. These hats are rather unobtrusive, soft carpets of sound. Of course, the great thing about all these 17" hi-hat models is the ability to separate the cymbals and yo use the top as a crash or "stack" it with other cymbals." - Max Gebhardt
