"The 24" Jazz Ride that actually lives up to its name. This special cymbal model offers a classic, dark ride sound, as it is known from many jazz recordings, especially from the hard bop era, but with a special difference: even with a hard playing style, the woody stick attack always remains clear well separated from the dark, rumbling background noise. Even patterns that are played very quickly remain differentiated. "A darker fundamental pitch and more of a airy but deep in tone wash and spread at a thinner weight in this case combined this with some rather detailed and complex hand hammering and lathing top and bottom which really brought the woody stick click out for sitting on top for this 24" ride. Not an easy feat at this weight with getting a defined stick sound but the cymbal artisans at Agop managed to pull it off. At this thin weight and size the full on crash sound is a wonder to behold to the ears too.
