20th Anniversary sits somewhere between Master and Master Vintage. They are traditionally lathed, but also treated with a special dark patina process to look decades old.

"The 22" ride has a tendency to get washier than the 20", especially when played at faster tempos and at higher volumes. The 22" wasn't ideal for the aforementioned club gigs, which demanded a lot of stylistic and dynamic versatility. But for lighter contexts, like acoustic jazz and more subtle recording applications, it provided a lusciously dark and warm tone that blended well with the kit. The bell sound is complex and integrated, so striking it activates a fair amount of wash. "20th Anniversary 22" ride has a rich tone that is warm-ish but also has some nice chime. Crashing the edge of the cymbal you can get a great wash and the bell is super versatile. Perfect for funk and rock, it cuts through but isn't offensive or "pingy." "The cymbal has interesting characteristics. It has both a low and high pitch characteristic, and is splashy as well. It's a little heavier than what I usually like.
