"All 30th Anniversary hi-hat models combine a versatile, traditional sound with a touch of modern trash, which is mainly due to the very thin top cymbals. The dry and short sustain when playing closed is striking. If you prefer a controlled sound with stick definition and a good dose of vintage character, you will be happy here. The 16-inch version in particular is very reminiscent of Steve Jordan's powerful, wide yet defined hi-hat sound. Due to the fact that the bottom cymbal is hardly heavier than the top cymbal, the chick sound is not particularly powerful.
