Xist Dry Dark Brilliant Hi-Hats are low pitched, dark and trashy with but with a bright and pointed attack. Very thin top, paired with a medium-heavy weighted bottom which also sound great used as a stack. When not paired, top cymbal makes for an explosive yet dry crash.

"As with their direct relatives, the Xist Dry Dark cymbals, the Brilliant versions are also light cymbals. This makes the cymbals very pliable and flexible, which suggests a quick response. But there are other things in common, because here and there the extremely deep hammer blows also affect the edges, which do not really lie flat on a smooth surface. That somehow fits the concept, but perfectionists shouldn't be too happy about it. In terms of definition, the 17" hats in particular lag behind 15" hats, but there are broad, "slurping" attack sounds when playing closed and the chick sound is rather weak, here the smaller 15" has clear advantages. They also have a deep, dirty sounding character, but is much more defined and responds faster. Both Xist Dry Dark Brilliant Hi-Hats are suitable for situations in which perfect articulation is not important, but rather a broader, washed-out sound that is not too loud and obtrusive - as with the crashes." - Max Gebhardt
