"I was very surprised with these hi hats. I expected them to be much darker than they actually are. Perhaps it was the dark finish that was giving me that expectation. However, apart from looking incredibly cool, they are versatile, fun to play, and dynamically reasonable. These cymbals provide volume when needed, but also respond very well with quieter playing. Don't let the cymbal's finish trick you into thinking these can't be used for a louder gig!
