The New Orleans showcases a unique production process, starting with a raw hammered cymbal that is then wide-lathed in a continuous spiral from the bell to the outer edge. This results in a one-of-a-kind sound profile, with woody stick and trashy undertones, as well as a wider spread than the Turks and less wash than the Traditionals. These are equally at home in a jazz kit or contemporary setup.
New Orleans Hi-Hat
- Boasts a crisp and dry chick with a dark tone.
- Produces a bright, rolling wash when played half-open.
- Opens up when played aggressively.

Reviews
"A nice balance of tonality (not too dark, not too bright) and a perfect decay if you don't want too much. They can cover a lot of ground in various styles and so far, all the engineers I've worked with for recording love them. They always comment on how they don't sound brittle like many other cymbals do." - D. Macc
"NO 14" hats are the bomb for jazz and funk (and other things. One pair of hats is dark, crisp, complex, dirty, greasy with just a hint of dryness while the other pair projects clarity, articulation, evenness, transparency, and fullness." - Slinginit
"The hi-hats are cut thin. A heavy rock player might want a more meaty sound, but I'll tell you, these splashy things cut through. In fact, they might produce a bit too much high
end for some drummers. But they did have a funky, washy character that makes them consistent with the "New Orleans" tonality." - Robin Tolleson
"Great definition and response to any attack, crisp backbeat and responsive when playing a hi-hat crash. Perfect for jazz, funk (really funky punch accents), or even rock styles." - Robinson
