Being the first endorser for Istanbul Agop, his chosen cymbals were brought back to the factory after his passing in 1990, with his family's blessing. The skilled cymbal-smiths at Istanbul Agop meticulously recreated each detail, paying tribute to Mel's legacy in the best way possible.   "21" Mel Lewis is a pretty dark cymbal with a lower pitch. The rivets give it a nice sizzly sustain as well. Definitely on the quieter side. Crashes very well and has a well defined stick sound.
