"As with their direct relatives, the Xist Dry Dark cymbals, the Brilliant versions are also light cymbals. This makes the cymbals very pliable and flexible, which suggests a quick response. But there are other things in common, because here and there the extremely deep hammer blows also affect the edges, which do not really lie flat on a smooth surface. That somehow fits the concept, but perfectionists shouldn't be too happy about it. As expected, the Brilliant versions of the Xist Dry Dark cymbals are not bright and clean-sounding instruments, on the contrary. Played in a set, they deliver a very fast response, followed by a strongly modulating, hissing-trassy finish, which quickly fades away again. In comparison to its non-polished siblings from the Dry Dark series, there are nevertheless differences.
