The looks don't deceive, and while note-wise the cymbals are authentically trashy and china-like, the degree of volume and aggression contained within them is almost off the scale. Ear-shredding levels of attack mean that they don't so much slice through the mix as blast a hole in it. This aggressive sound can be used particularly well with crisp funk rock played. With a hearty playing style, a certain trash factor develops in the attack and a mids in the sustain. "It struck me right away how dark this cymbal's tone is - and it's truly explosive and full sounding as well! The holes offer a quick decay, and I imagine the smaller sizes offer an even quicker decay alongside a brighter tone. I've only owned this one for about 4 months, but from what I can gather it's incredibly durable. I can be a heavy hitter, but you don't have to hit this cymbal very loud for it to cut - it frequently drowns out my other cymbals even when hitting it half as hard as the rest of my kit!" -Rasmith
